How were things going for you before you spoke with me ?
Things were fine. He is doing so in school and on the surface he wasn’t troubled. He has a tenancy to be quiet and I wanted to know if all was well.
How did you feel about talking with me ?
I felt good. I loved the idea and you reassured me when we spoke that it was a good idea. Having worked with you and seen the interactions with other teenage boys, I was confident it will be positive and although I as a parent I had no real direction I wanted it to go, you seemed to have a clear idea of your methods and what you will like to achieve.
What did you like best about the service ?
The way Ramone was encouraged to take ownership of the service, he felt adult with his own appointment to keep and seemed to want to impress which is very good to see in a normally laid back boy who can hide anxiety well. It also have me after the feedback a sense of calm because I got an idea into Ramones state of mind and an objective view of his progress in a very difficult and stressful year for a young brown man.
I felt it went very well. Ramone such to it and seemed to look forward to the sessions, I could see he was enjoying talking to someone and the all the feedback from both you and him was positive. He seemed lighter after talking with you.
How do you feel now?
Very pleased and glad I took up you service. I also see the type you have him in managing his time and mornings. You will be pleased to know he got a call home from the assistant Principal to say how well he was doing. His improvement had stated before you began but he is more relaxed going into his exams and 16th birthday in two months and two words respectively.

Yes definitely, I already shared the advert and recommended you to parents from his football group.
Yes-why?
A place to talk is great but just as valuable is a real signpost at a time where there is both a world of choice and a sense of lack of opportunity. You empower but also give real practical and up-to-date advice because of your training and gifts. I have worked with boys my sons age for years and I know how much that is needed. I hope it takes off and helps as many young people as painless.

How were things going for you before you spoke with me ?
Things were in a slightly tough place due to joint custody of my eldest daughter and whilst myself and my daughters mum do get on for the best interests of our daughter, we do have some very different opinions on how we should deal with certain situations. My main issue being that I believe she sometimes acts like a friend to our daughter not a mother which allows our daughter to manipulate her
How did you feel about talking with me ?
Jon was brilliant at listening, giving a balanced view point to the situation, gave some fantastic feedback and advice and also followed up on the situation after a few days
What did you like best about the service ?
Jon has clearly got an amazing understanding on not only how older children behave, act and function but also how the parent is feeling and how to react. He doesn’t jump to conclusions and took the case as it’s own individual case
How do you feel now?
After speaking to Jon I felt relieved that someone of his skill set gave me hope that what we were doing was right but also that his advice has broken down barriers
